Accomodation
The conference venue is the Millenium Copthorne Hotel in Newcastle. This is a change from the earlier location Longhirst Hall, which is now closed.
The Hotel is right near the river Tyne, with excellent views of the famous bridges, near other famous landmarks such as the Castle Keep, the Sage Gateshead, the Blinking Eye millenium Bridge. There is wifi throughout, free parking and gym facilities. All bed rooms overlook the river. It also has its own bar.

The conference accommodation (Monday and Tuesday evening) is included in the conference package, and includes breakfast. Single occupation of generous double bedrooms is included in the standard cost. People can share a twin room with a small discount. All rooms have a view of the river.
Included in the conference fee are also coffees/teas and refreshment throughout the day, three lunches, an evening meal and a conference meal, field trip and wine reception.
It is possible to add another night before or after the conference at the Copthorne Hotel for a reduced rate of £85 B&B per room per night (based on sole occupancy), for £100 you will get Dinner and BB per room per night (based on sole occupancy). We will ensure you get the same room.
