Call for Papers

FORMATS (International Conference on Formal Modeling and Analysis of Timed Systems) is an annual conference which aims to promote the study of fundamental and practical aspects of timed systems, and to bring together researchers from different disciplines that share interests in the modelling, design and analysis of timed computational systems. The conference aims to attract researchers interested in real-time issues in hardware design, performance analysis, real-time software, scheduling, semantics and verification of real-timed, hybrid and probabilistic systems.

CONFEST 2022, which includes FORMATS 2022, is currently planned as a physical, in-person event with support for remote presence for speakers and participants. Depending on the pandemic situation, a decision whether to cancel the physical component of CONFEST or not will be made by the end of June 2022.

Best Paper Award (Oded Maler Award in Timed Systems) Winner: An STL-based Formulation of Resilience in Cyber-Physical Systems by Hongkai Chen, Shan Lin, Scott Smolka and Nicola Paoletti.

Best Artifact Evaluation Award Winner: Neural Network Repair with Reachability Analysis by Xiaodong Yang, Tom Yamaguchi, Hoang-Dung Tran, Bardh Hoxha, Taylor T Johnson, and Danil Prokhorov.

Joint CONFEST Statement on the Russian invasion of Ukraine

The Steering Committees and PC Chairs of CONFEST 2022 conferences strongly condemn the Russian invasion of Ukraine, a violation of international law, a horrifying crime and a threat to humanity. We express our solidarity with the Ukrainian people in their plight, and our deep respect to their courage in defending their country. We adhere to the statement of the European University Association (EUA). In view of disgraceful declarations of many Russian academic institutions, we support the decision, made by several international academic organizations, to freeze all institutional collaboration with the Russian academic establishment. Therefore we request academics from Russia, when submitting their work for CONCUR/FMICS/FORMATS/QEST 2022, to consider refraining from mentioning Russian affiliations and acknowledging support from Russian institutions. We know that many Russian academics are actively opposed to the war against Ukraine and we acknowledge their civil courage.
