Tuesday 25th February:

  • Main event: Matt Winning, climate scientist doing stand-up comedy, author of 'Hot Mess' - 5.30pm, Curtis Auditorium - Registration (free) required - this will be available in the New Year

Wednesday 26th February - here's ideas we're discussing. The final programme will probably offer a choice from four or five (some running in parallel) but you can attend more than one. Some will run off campus, including one or two run by other groups but open to everyone.

Possible ideas under discussion:

  • Film: 2040 - how we can make the World a better place for our children by 2040
  • 'Not the End of the World' by Hannah Richie - presentation and 'how it changed one student's life'
  • Talk: Biodiversity on Campus
  • Activity: Letter writing to MPs and others
  • Discussion on student views etc.
  • Climate theology - a Christian perspective
  • Talk: Sustainable travel
  • Talk: Plant-based universities
  • Activities: Beach-cleaning, Hedgehog friendly litter pick, greenhouse building
  • Discussion: how to talk to family and friends
  • Discussion: coping with climate chaos
  • Visits: renewable energy, biodiversity projects, 
  • Politics and the Climate - what the main parties say (and don't say!)
