If you arrive in Newcastle by train, the simplest way to get to the university campus is to take the Metro from Central Station (immediately next to the railway station) for two stops until Haymarket. From Haymarket Metro, the campus is on the other side of the road. Comprehensive information about the campus including full maps is available here. Wheelchair-accessible routes are also indicated.
Accommodation

The Royal Station Hotel: Single rooms start at £68 per night; breakfast is £9.75. The hotel is located near Newcastle Central Station and is approximately 20 minutes walk from the university campus, alternatively the Metro is located nearby.
The County Hotel: Rates are approximately £70 per night and breakfast is an additional £17. Wifi is available at no charge. The hotel is located next to Newcastle Central Station and is approximately 20 minutes walk from the university campus; alternatively the Metro is located nearby.
Grey Street Hotel: Rooms start at approximately £80 per night; breakfast is an additional £10. Wifi is available in communal areas for £7.95 per day.
Sleeperz Hotel: Rooms start at approximately £60 per night; breakfast is an additional £8.45. Wifi is available at no charge. The hotel is located close to the Quayside and the central train station. It is a 20-minute walk from campus; alternatively the Metro is located nearby.
The Albatross Hostel: Self catering kitchens are available and wifi is available in the communal area. The hostel is located approximately 15 minutes walk from the university campus. Dorms start at £16.50 per night.
Euro Hostel: private rooms and shared dorms available. Guests have use of a communal kitchen and laundry room. Wifi is free and available across the hostel. Dorms start at £16 per night, including breakfast. The hotel is approximately 15 minutes walk from the university campus.
