Travelling by Train

Newcastle Central Station

  • A 15 minute walk from campus or 2 stops on the Metro
  • Newcastle is only 3 Hours from London King's Cross

Metro

The easiest way to the University from Newcastle Central Station is to take the Metro to Haymarket Station, which is opposite the campus.

  • Haymarket is two stops from Central Station
  • Cost: £2.50 for a DaySaver return (one zone)

Driving Directions to the city centre

From the north or south

  • Follow the A1 towards Newcastle
  • Leave the A1 (Newcastle Western Bypass) at the junction with the A167/A696
  • Follow signs for the City Centre

From the west

  • Follow the A69 to the junction with the A1, and then take the A1 northbound.
  • Leave the A1 at the next junction, signposted City (West), Westerhope B6324
  • Follow signs for the City Centre A167 and then follow signs to the City Centre
