Dr Vasileios Floros
I am a Research Assistant in the Wellcome Trust Centre for Mitochondrial Research. My research interest lies in the broad field of developmental and reproductive biology. In my current research project in Professor Patrick Chinnery’s lab, I focus on unravelling the molecular and cellular mechanisms that govern the transmission of mtDNA from mother to child. Understanding the process of mtDNA inheritance will help in the development of effective ways to prevent the transmission of mitochondrial DNA disorders in the future.
