Jamie Smokler is an undergraduate student studying Psychology at the University of Surrey, and will be continuing into postgraduate study in Sport and Exercise Psychology in the next academic year. He currently trains as a figure skater, and have previously represented Great Britain at the Maccabi Deutschland Winter Games 2023. Since completing numerous qualifications with the FA, he has previously coached goalkeepers in multiple football academies, and currently volunteer as the Head Coach and Head of Performance Analysis with a Sunday League Team. His undergraduate dissertation aimed to explore the emotion of fear, and how it affects figure skaters who have competed internationally. His future research intentions will further explore psychological aspects of figure skating, such as the impact of romance between skaters in Ice Dance and Pairs
