The Consortium of the Text Encoding Initiative (TEI-C) holds an annual conference for TEI-C members and those interested in the aims and objectives of the TEI-C. The TEI-C strives for an inclusive and diverse global community of scholars and practitioners of text encoding and related activities. While the conference is expected to contain open, critically-engaging, and challenging discourse, it should be a safe, respectful, and collegial conference for all attendees. Conference participants are expected to respect the cultural and linguistic differences of individuals, and to be considerate of the international nature of our community both in preparing their presentations and engaging in conversation. Everyone should be able to enjoy the TEI-C Conference, and so there is absolutely no place at the TEI-C Conference for harassment or intimidation of any sort, especially not that based on race, religion, ethnicity, language, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, physical or cognitive ability, age, appearance, or any other characteristics. Unsolicited physical contact, unwelcome sexual attention, harassment, exclusionary humour, and bullying behavior are likewise unacceptable.

Participants violating the code of conduct may be asked to leave the event without a refund at the sole discretion of the event organisers.
