Registration is now open!
We are pleased to announce that registration for USS 2015 is now open! We have special ‘early bird’ registration rates available until 22th May 2015. Register here
There’s three important pieces of information to note:
1. We have a very limited amount of accommodation available in University Halls of Residence. PLEASE NOTE that if you would like to book this university accommodation you must do it at the same time as you book and pay for conference registration. We cannot take bookings for university halls of residence at a later date. If you do not want to book University accommodation, you can find a range of hotel options via this link.
2. When registering, you will also have the chance to book an optional Northumberland coast trip after the end of the conference on Sunday 5th July, 10am to 4pm. We will be heading to the Ship Inn at Low Newton-by-the-Sea to sample the region’s famous kippers (smoked herrings) for lunch, via the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle and taking in the beautiful beach at Embleton Bay. The trip will cater for a range of stamina levels; choose a short walk starting at Craster to Dunstanburgh and on to the Ship Inn, or take the whole or parts of the journey by coach, which will stop at Dunstan Steads and at the clubhouse café at Dunstanburgh Golf Course where you can get tea, coffee or a pint.
The coach trip will cost £12.50 per head, not including lunch, and can be booked on the website. NOTE: the coach trip will only run if a minimum of 15 people book. If we do not reach the booking threshold we’ll cancel the trip and refund that portion of your registration fee.

3. Delegates must be a member of the Utopian Studies Society to take part in this event. By registering to attend the 16th Annual conference you agree to pay membership fees for one year of £8 to the Society in cash on arrival at the conference.
