‘I exist too, 2023’ is a project that seeks to improve the visibility and rights of LGBTIQ+ population within the maritime industry. This project has two streams. Firstly, a conference with panels related to the rights of the LGBTIQ+ population within the maritime industry. Secondly, artistic expressions of the LGBTIQ+ population that currently work within the maritime industry, will share narratives and experiences in this industry.

Objectives
Visibility
Promote the visibility and contribution of LGBTIQ+ professionals within the maritime industry.
Access
Strengthen the access and career development of LGBTIQ+ people within the maritime industry.
Inclusion
Promote action frameworks for the establishment of inclusive policies that guarantee the protection of LGBTIQ+ people within the maritime industry.
Growth
Promote innovation, development, and continuous growth of the maritime industry through a diverse, inclusive, and respectful human talent participation.
Social Justice
Promoting the assurance of social justice through the inclusion and visibility of LGBTIQ+ people within a highly masculine and male dominated industry.
Policy Development
Promoting the elaboration of relevant and inclusive policies within the international maritime industry.
Sustainable Development Goals
Encouraging leaving no one behind by fulfilling the 2030 agenda, through the sustainable development goals: reduction of inequalities (10) and peace, justice, and solid institutions (16).
